American Idol auditions July 9 in Orlando
The first round of auditions for American Idol will be held on July 9 at Amway Arena in Orlando. The cattle-call auditions which pull arena sized crowds that the producers love to display during the audition shows will start up in two weeks time with an exclusive group of producers travelling the country and selecting a manageable number of contestants from the hundreds and thousands seeking fame on TV’s highest-rated show.

Judges Simon Cowell, Randy Jackson, Kara DioGuardi and Paula Abdul will not be present in the auditions.
Judge Abdul’s (whose contract with the show ends this year) future will decide this summer. The contestants who get selected in the upcoming auditions will face another round of producers and then the judges sometime later this summer.
Rules are same: Contestants must be aged between 16 and 28 as of June 12, 2009 and should be eligible to work in the United States.
