Jermaine Jones Eliminated from American Idol because of Past
25 year old Jermaine Jones was eliminated from American Idol this week. His elimination was tagged on his past encounters and charges of crime where he falsified his name to the authorities. However, he insists that he did not expect this would get him out of the show because he was honest about his past during his audition. In fact, he recalls that during audition the producers asked whether he had been arrested and he admitted after which they even did a background check on him during his first elimination and he still went back to the show.

Jermaine found his latest elimination shocking because he thought the interviews and background check was enough. He hoped all was under control especially since he hired a lawyer to take care of the issues before he got to the show. Nonetheless, he says he is doing well and has high hopes about his future.
He is not stressed about what people think about him in relation to the crime encounters because everyone has a past. He did not kill or assault anyone. He only drove without a license since he was younger and faked his identity, which was a crime that he cannot justify but feels is wrong to judge him based on that.
