Did you expect it would be Karen Rodriguez after Ashthon Jones? If not here is a surprise in store for you – Karen has become the second finalist to be dropped out from the race to become the singing face of America.

Karen, with Ashthon Jones, had been in the bottom three during the past few episodes and in the last episode, Ryan Seacrest read out from his slip that she had received the least number of votes after the performance of the previous night. Rodriguez has sung ‘Hero’ by Mariah Carey in her final performance on the show.

Randy clearly told Karen he wouldn’t be using her save vote and added:

“This was not unanimous, by the way. We all discussed this amongst ourselves but it’s not happening.”

With Rodriguez out of the race, only the following contestants remain:

The winner of ninth season of the show, Lee DeWyze, appeared on this episode and there was a performance on ‘Just Can’t Get Enough’ by Black Eyed Peas.
